Have You Checked Your Credit Report?

Thanks to my wonderful banker hubby for sharing this great information about Credit Reports.

"Due to recent legislation, you are eligible to receive 1 free copy of your credit report from each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies each year. It is important to check your report each year to watch for signs of identity theft, such as accounts that you did not open. Checking your credit report will not hurt your credit score.

When you are ready to check your credit report, go to www.annualcreditreport.com. You will receive a free report from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. I recommend requesting one report every 4 months, to monitor your credit report throughout the year. Be careful not to check your credit score or you will be charged. Only the free credit report is needed. Also, watch out for other websites offering free credit reports with hidden fees."

3 companies once a year means you can check your credit every 4 months by choosing a different company each time.

Do you happen to know if that is PER SS # so that I could do the same thing and get dh's credit report also?
